‘We Love, We Laugh, We Learn’

  • Anglo-Saxon Day

Fri 24 Jan 2025 Mr Watkins

The year four pupils really enjoyed their Anglo-Saxon day. The whole session was filled with engaging and hands-on activities. Their behaviour was excellent and we hope they came home full of all the exciting activities and tasks they had completed.

  • Grafham Day 3

Thu 16 Jan 2025 Mr Watkins

Day three almost done! They are just in from our blindfolded muddy assault course. Today was colder than we expected but they coped well. Lots of soup and pasta for lunch and then popular fajitas for dinner. They are having one final hot chocolate and talking about things they have enjoyed. I think we will have lots of tired children tomorrow when we get back to school!

  • Grafham Day 2

Wed 15 Jan 2025 Mr Watkins

Evening! We’re all inside now having had another successful day. We’ve had groups cycling, climbing and canoeing today as well as some decent archery sessions. This evening they were given the choice between staying inside to relax or coming outside to do a low ropes course and everyone chose the outside option. Hot chocolates to come.

  • Grafham Day 1

Tue 14 Jan 2025 Mr Watkins

Pioneering, orienteering and bushcraft done! They have been so well behaved and hardworking today. The marshmallows were a particular treat. It was worth trawling all the shops to find suitable marshmallows for everyone because they enjoyed it so much. They’re off showering and tidying (!) now before a hot chocolate and some games. Nobody went hungry at dinner time.

  • Grafham Water

Tue 14 Jan 2025 Mr Watkins

We arrived safely. Thank you so much for getting everyone here despite the traffic around school! Time for a quick briefing and then it’s the first activity. I’ll update again later after we have completed orienteering, pioneering and had our campfire marshmallows.
