‘We Love, We Laugh, We Learn’

  • Horse Guards Parade

Fri 28 Jun 2019 Mr Watkins
What a wonderful day we had in London visiting Hyde Park Barracks. Thank you to the Household Cavalry who hosted us with such care and attention. The children got to hold swords, try on uniforms, watch the parade from a private vantage point and meet lots of the different guardsman who serve in the Blues and Royals or Lifeguard regiment. Special thank you to Mrs Mansfield for organising the trip.
  • Maths Days

Mon 24 Jun 2019 Mr Watkins
This time last week we were halfway through our maths days! I apologise for only getting around to it now but the standard of work produced over the two days was amazing! The children loved taking part in the activities and appreciated the opportunity to undertake some creative maths tasks. Many thanks to Mrs Lightning for leading the event and we are already thinking hard about which other subject area to focus on next.
  • Mad Science

Mon 17 Jun 2019 Mr Watkins
We welcomed Mad Science to Colville this morning. Well done to all the pupils who took part in the experiences and experiments based on substances and chemical reactions. We will be offering Mad Science club again in the autumn term.
  • Hamper Day

Fri 14 Jun 2019 Mr Watkins
The PSA were delighted with the response to the Hamper Day requests. They are busy sorting the donations into the hampers for the summer fair. I will post updated pictures of the final hampers ASAP. Our thanks to everyone who donated goods or gave up their time to sort them.
  • Gardening Club

Thu 13 Jun 2019 Mr Watkins
Mrs Mansfield and Mrs Lamper braved the wet weather alongside some intrepid students to get gardening club underway recently. Thanks to a significant (and much appreciated) donation from Scotsdales - huge thank you to Mr Marr for his support, gardening club is in full swing at the front of the school. This week the students have been clearing some of the beds and potting plants in preparation for planting next week.
  • Foundation Stage

Thu 06 Jun 2019 Mr Watkins
The children are enjoying some of the new resources we have put into Foundation Stage. We are working hard to develop the resources available inside and outside to enhance the learning environments and give the students opportunities for imaginative play.
