‘We Love, We Laugh, We Learn’

School Clubs

We run a football club for pupils in years 4, 5 and 6 every Wednesday. Colville football teams traditionally perform well and we take part in the School Partnership Tournament and the Cambridge United Tournament at the Abbey Stadium each year. We also play friendly matches against local primary schools and organise an annual student versus staff match in the summer term. Anyone interested in joining football club, or seeking more information, should contact Mr Hastings or Mr Watkins. In the summer months this club changes into Cricket club and is open to year 5 and 6 pupils in preparation for the Cambridgeshire School Cricket Tournament.
We run regular music, sport and science clubs with outside providers. These are often specifically aimed at certain year groups and carry a small cost for each session and/or series of sessions. More information about these groups can be found at the school office.
Mrs Brown leads our school choir. Pupils enjoy learning songs in preparation for their performance at the O2 as part of the national Young Voices organization. Pupils interested in joining the choir should speak to Mrs Brown.
We offer a regular homework club for pupils in Key Stage Two. Mrs Charge and Mrs Topham are on hand to assist students with their topic project, maths homework or to help them learn their spellings. Anyone who is interested in a place at homework club should contact Mrs Lightning.
Gardening club is one of our most popular after school activities! Ms Lamper and Mrs Mansfield enjoy teaching the pupils how to grow and care for a wide variety of plants in our school plant beds and nature area. The club runs on a Tuesday after school and anyone interested in joining should speak to Mrs Mansfield or Ms Lamper.
Any one who feels they could add to our enrichment programme is welcome to speak to Mr Watkins. We are always looking for opportunities to broaden the experiences we offer to our pupils.
